As the days get shorter and nights get longer, the weather gets cooler and the leaves begin to fall from the trees, it’s a reminder that Autumn is a time of letting go. We will have passed the Libra New moon on 6/10 and so in the waxing phase of the moon as the she builds to her fullness, paradoxically we are in the waning phase of the sun as he moves to his lowest point in the sky (the most yin time). All of nature follows these rhythms of expansion and contraction, in Tantra known as Spanda, the sacred throb. In Daoism this is embodied through the yin (the contraction) & yang (the expansion).

In a gong bath the body is literally 'bathed in sound', promoting a deep sense of well being and inner peace. The sound of the gong has the effect of timelessness – and of de-materialisation. People often have the experience of floating in space, or in an ocean; some have inspiring visions, or see colours.

More than a musical instrument, the gong is a conduit for vibrational waves of energy, releasing reverberating tones of great fullness and resonance that interact with the human body on a very deep, even cellular level. The gong facilitates deep meditation; it can open all the chakras and enable healing to more readily occur as the body concentrates on drawing in the sounds it needs to re-align and harmonise itself.

You will be led through a sonic healing soundscape with 4 gongs, tibetan bowls, a rainstick + sansula. The use of gongs & tibetan bowls stimulate meditative states + the healing power of the session is enhanced with 3 planetary gongs (Jupiter, Venus, Sidonic Moon) plus a large symphonic gong and a recently acquired Dark Water Gong (the only one of it’s kind in the UK).
