Book Workshop

An invitation to slow down, this month’s focus will be on ‘Finding Your Feet’ for the year ahead. Through physical riddles which regulate your nervous system and ignite your neuroplastic capabilities, we will explore the anatomy of your feet and ankles and how the mobility and strength of these structures are intimately connected to your hips and lower back.

This workshop is ideal for those who experience plantar fasciitis or regular ankle strains/ sprains, those looking to increase ease and comfort in walking and running and those looking for a greater sense of grounding in their daily life.

This 90-minute workshop is a safe environment to understand one’s unique movement and behaviour patterns and is an excellent tool for stress and injury management as a result. We will begin with gentle explorations on the mat which will lead to guided movement on our feet with the opportunity to tap into the joy and pleasure of moving with music and increased freedom within oneself!

The Feldenkrais Method was developed by physicist and engineer, Dr Moshe Feldenkrais, as a neurological education. Developing sequences that offer novelty and choice to the nervous system, he was one of the first scientists to understand the human being’s incredible neuroplastic capabilities: our ability to learn and develop continuously throughout our lifetime! He believed that we learn optimally through rest, play, curiosity and awareness and these themes will be interwoven throughout the 90 minutes!
