Book WorkshopDo you ever find yourself turning to food for comfort, stress relief, or distraction? This 75-minute interactive workshop will guide you through the power of journaling as a tool to understand and manage emotional eating.
Whether you’re completely new to journaling or already have an established writing practice, you’ll discover practical techniques to help you connect with your emotions in a healthier way and build a more mindful relationship with food.
During this workshop, you’ll learn and practice:
- Free Writing – to release thoughts and feelings without judgment.
- Gratitude Journaling – to shift focus toward appreciation and self-compassion.
- CBT-Inspired Journaling – to identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns linked to emotional eating.
By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a clear understanding of how to use journaling as a daily self-care practice— one that supports emotional balance, self-awareness, and lasting behaviour change.
After more than 21 diets, gestational diabetes, countless binges, and years of therapy and coaching, I reached a point where I knew there had to be another way to heal my relationship with food. That’s when I discovered emotional eating—not just as a concept, but as a powerful key to understanding the “why” behind so many of my patterns. I quickly realised, though, that the space was lacking in simple, practical guidance—especially for people who don’t have a diagnosed eating disorder but still struggle deeply with food. My background as a pharmacist and PhD in the genetics of diabetes gave me a strong foundation, but even with all that knowledge, I still found myself stuck. I kept thinking: If I’m struggling this much, how must others be feeling?
