The truth is, the majority of us do not have any life goals. We may have a conventional “to do” list dictated by the outside world (find a partner, send kids to uni, retire well). But there is rarely any sense of genuine purpose, vision or calling behind any of that.

We are stuck in familiar routines. Most of the time, we are on auto-pilot. Our decisions and actions are pre-determined by existing beliefs and behaviour patterns.

“One of these days, I will…” - we say. But the day never arrives. It’s just more of the same. We have dreams and longings but they never materialise. By mid-Feb, we’ve already given up on any New Year Resolutions that we might have had.
